Stray (2019)

A woman returns to her home after a violent break in that has robbed her of her husband and her peace of mind. Now alone, only she can discover if she is ready, or able, to begin life again. Starring Tony Award winning actress Marie Mullen.

Stray introduces us to Úna, an older woman who in the aftermath of a recent trauma, struggles to adjust to a new “normal”.

An Arcade Film Production, Stray was part funded by the Strategic Project Initiative by County Wicklow Arts Office. Filmed in Wicklow in May 2019, the film premiered in Kerry International Film Festival before screening at Cork International Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Best in Cork Award. In 2020 it screened at Chicago Irish Film Festival and the Capital Irish Film Festival in Washington. It’s festival run has been interrupted due to the Covid 19 crisis but it will screen online on August 15th as part of the Still Voices Film Festival 2020.
